Known for their imbibing adventures on Amazon Prime, The Three Drinkers will be visiting The London Whisky Weekender (May 10-12), bringing their special charm and boozy banter to the record-breaking festival from organisers, The Whisky Lounge at London’s Kia Oval.
Colin Hampden-White, Aidy Smith and Helena Nicklin will deliver two masterclasses during the three day event, which will bring together more than 150 whiskies from around the world for festival-goers to sample.
The event will also be showcasing some of the nation’s favourite gin brands with sister company, The Gin Lounge offering over 100 premium gins for festival-goers to experience.

Spearheading the gin-challenge is the sophistication and assured elegance of Savile Row Gin, launched at the end of 2018. As a measure of their bespoke character, Savile Row Gin has partnered with Henry Poole & Co, tailors with a royal warrant no less will be demonstrating their skills to craft a suit live during the event.
“Which side are you on?” is the theme of this year’s London Whisky Weekender, devised by husband and wife team, Eddie and Amanda Ludlow, founders of The Whisky Lounge and The Gin Lounge. Eddie takes on the role of Whisky Evangelist to Amanda’s Ginfidel and both will take part in the spiritual battle by taking on a number of entertaining challenges as visitors are encouraged to pick a side.
In its ninth year, The London Whisky Weekender, is more popular than ever with people new to the water of life, 65 per cent of attendees describing themselves as ‘newbies’. Whisky beginners are encouraged to take part in a ‘Whisky Baptism’, from which they can graduate to Whisky Heaven by simply following an eleven-step guide. The club-style lounge in Whisky Heaven allows visitors to chat freely with whisky ‘gods’ (experts and industry legends) with some amazing drams supplied by Scotch Whisky Auctions.
Whisky geeks will also be able to bring a bottle along on Sunday 12th May for valuation by our very own Auction expert Tim Forbes.
Commenting on the London event, Eddie Ludlow said
“As a festival dedicated to whisky we are always looking a new ways to educate through fun. Amanda and I are both quite competitive people even with each other so this year sees us take on a series of challenges to let our new fans decide which is best, Whisky or Gin. We want to encourage people to shake off any preconceptions and savour the range of products on offer – and then pick a side.”
Tickets for the event cost from £20 and can be booked here
