Why start a spirits blog?
Braw Spirit was created to record and share our experiences of discovering Scotch whisky and other spirits.
Being based in Scotland, we were already able to explore different whiskies and an increase on trips planned around distilleries helped to compound our interest.
Where did the name come from?
I was given the late Iain Banks’ whisky travel journal, ‘Raw Spirit’ a few years previously and combining it with that most Scottish of words, ‘braw’ was a great play on the title.
Who is ‘we’?
Braw Spirit is mainly written by Stuart, with the occasional input from Adele when she’s not maintaining her own blog over at Queen of Everything.
